Marconta africa house

Welcome, Karibu, Boyei Bolamuto to Marconta Africa House

Greetings! My name is Dewhnah Walker and have owned my store for a decade now.

My dad is a tailor by profession from the time I was born, he made clothes for the community and for government officials in Liberia. He transitioned to Columbus, got himself a sewing machine, and began to make clothes for the Columbus community. As time went by, he established one of the few African stores in Columbus. When you first visit my store you will see a compoliation of so many things I believe in; not just a vast array of clothing, decor, but also oils and African soaps, etc.  I believe in sharing everything that has made me who I am mind-body-soul to be successful with my shop.

I have so much passion for the African culture, when he retired in 2012 I knew it was time for me to reestablish the store!

“My father taught me his love and passion for the African culture and now my favorite part of my store is simply watching people walk in, find a one-of-a-kind item…their expressions are priceless.”
